With 6 hours down the race is in LMGT2

Le Mans, France – Nothing had changed in the LMP1 or LMP2 classes, and the real race is between LMGT2 for first position. The no. 82 Ferrari F430 Risi Competizione and the no. 64 Corvette ZR1 have been battling for the last half hour. The no. 64 Corvette had been pushing the Ferrari, and has crawled within 2 seconds of it, but has not been able to manage a pass. The Corvette has a little more power down the straight sections, but the Ferrari is faster in the curves.

After 5 hours of Racing Peugeot still running 1, 2, 3

Le Mans, France – After 5 hours of racing the lead has been lengthened by the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP. Currently Audi is running 4th, 5th and 8th with the no.7 Audi in 8th spot after the off cause by the no. 79 BMW M3 Art Car. LMP2 Category is being led by Strakka Racing HPD ARX.01c currently being driven by Nick Leventis. GT1 category is being led by no. 60 Matech Competition Ford GT being driven by Romain Grosjean. In the GT2 category the no. 82 Risi Competitzione Ferrari leads the race after starting from the back, due to being penalized for a rule infraction.

no. 7 Audi R15 Plus into the gravel after missing the no. 79 BMW M3 Art Car

Le Mans, France – Tom Kristensen driving the no. 7 Audi R15 Plus has gone into the gravel after a spin avoiding a slowed no. 79 BMW M3 Art Car, driven by Andy Priaulx. The no. 79 had been driving slowly around the racetrack with possibly a puncture or broken wheel, and went into the racing line around a turn, leaving the no. 7 with no where to go other than into the gravel trap or rear-end the BMW. The no. 7 Audi R15 impacted the tire wall on the rear wing, and was stuck in the gravel trap. After being pulled out of the gravel trap, the no. 7 made it back to the pits, where it was taken into the garage and had body work, and rear wing replaced, as well as having a driver swap. Dindo Capello is now back on track. Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich stormed down the pit lane to speak with the BMW team.
