The incident occurred during the free practice session for the 82nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.<br \/>\nConscious, the driver was taken into the care of the ACO\u2019s Medical Services, extracted from the car to an ambulance and then immediately transported to the Le Mans\u2019s Centre Hospitalier where he will undergo further examination.<br \/>\nHis condition is encouraging.<br \/>\nThe tests recommenced at <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1063447236\"><span class=\"aQJ\">17h55<\/span><\/span>.<br \/>\n=====================================================================================================<\/p>\n<p>Here is additional coverage from<a href=\"http:\/\/jalopnik.com\/one-of-audis-le-mans-contenders-was-just-destroyed-in-a-1589306287\" target=\"_blank\"> Jalopnik<\/a> which seems to indicate that Audi will be able to bring a new car in without penalty.\u00a0 At this writing the first night session of qualifying is going on at Le Mans.
