Pictures and Video from Friday at Le Mans

Pit Lane FridayThe Friday before the 24 hours of Le Mans, is usually a pretty slow day for the track, the calm before the storm per say…. Still insides the fences of the Le Mans, the pit lane is open to the general public all day long. Tens of thousands of spectators make their way though the pit lane, viewing their favorite teams, and possibly even drivers. Here are some of the pictures from the day.

Beautiful Sunny weather to start the 77th 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Le Mans, France – 10:30 am Sataurday Morning and the weather could not look better for the start of the 77th Running of the 24 hours of Le Mans. Currently the temperature is 68 Degrees with hardly a cloud in the sky. However as it has been said many times, It always rains at Le Mans, and we are expected to get rain Sunday Morning. Anticipation is high, and there is a buzz in the air, as Peugeot goes up against Audi Sport for the third time.

Currently the historics are running, and I am sure it is a real treat for any vintage fan.

With just over 3:30 left, The battle rages on.

With just over 3:30 left in the 2009 12 hours of Sebring, the race is still too close to call. The Audi R15 has just taken over the lead after a long battle with the Peugot 908 HDi. Both Audi and Peugot are very evenly matched.  With sunset coming, and the night setting in, we should see increased lap times with the cooler weather.
