WEST OF SALT LAKE CITY, UT — In nail-biting fashion, Adrian Fernandez and Luis Diaz came from behind to take their fourth straight victory in the American Le Mans series at the Larry H. Miller Dealerships Utah Grand Prix presented by the Grand and Little America Hotels in the LMP2 class,  taking the checkered flag by a scant .58 seconds over their Team Dyson Lola competitior.

WEST of SALT LAKE CITY, Ut — Luis Diaz put the pedal to metal when he had to, and the Lowes Fernandez Acura LMP1 responded during the last three minutes of the qualifying session to take the team’s fourth straight pole position in the LMP1 class at the Larry H. Miller Dealerships Utah Grand Prix, overcoming an early performance advantage by the Mazda Lola team.

Number 15 carrying the target at Salt Lake ALMS race

OUTSIDE SALT LAKE CITY, UT — Adrian Fernandez and Luis Diaz of the Lowes Fernandez LMP2 racing team head into qualifyung this afternoon with a big target fixed solidly to them — at least psychologically — as they look to carry their undefeated streak to four straight events. Standing in their way is the 15-turn, 3.048-mile Miller Motorsports Park circuit that is nestled on the plain just west of Salt Lake City, UT — and of course the two Mazda Lolas that have been inching their way closer and closer to the front runners since the opening event at Sebring in March.
