7.5 Hours done, and the lead Peugeot 908 HDi FAP is into the garage for service

Le Mans, France – With 7.5 hours done, the leading no. 1 Peugeot 908 HDi FAP driven by Marc Gene, has come in to pit road, and was put into the garage. The driver climbed out, and they put it onto the high lifts. Usually for quick fixes the drivers stay in the cars, so this has a potential to be a long stop for the Peugeot. We have been told that it is an electrical issue, but nothing more. Perhaps a chink in the Peugeot armor has emerged for Audi to capitalize on.

With 6 hours down the race is in LMGT2

Le Mans, France – Nothing had changed in the LMP1 or LMP2 classes, and the real race is between LMGT2 for first position. The no. 82 Ferrari F430 Risi Competizione and the no. 64 Corvette ZR1 have been battling for the last half hour. The no. 64 Corvette had been pushing the Ferrari, and has crawled within 2 seconds of it, but has not been able to manage a pass. The Corvette has a little more power down the straight sections, but the Ferrari is faster in the curves.
