LE MANS, France — Reports are coming in from various sources that one of the Peugeot team cars, driven by Marc Gene, suffered a hard crash at speed during test a La Sarthe circuit. Gene walked away from the wreck with but a fractured toe — but it could have been much worse if it was not for the modern safety system and driver protection. You can read about it and see video at: Motortrend .

It is said that Peugeot is rebuilding the car and will have it ready for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
