no. 2 Peugeot 908 HDi FAP out of the race after an engine fire

Le Mans, France – At 7:02 the leading no. 2 Peugeot 908 HDi FAP caught fire from the right rear area, and pulled off the course outside of Tertre Rouge. Frank Montagny pulled the car off of the track, and the car was extinguished very quickly but all signs point to the no. 2 being retired. Frank Montagny hasn’t left the car yet, but there is probably nothing to be done for the car. Very soon the running order will be Audi in Position 1 and 2 and the remaining Peugeot running in position 3.
