Aston Martin Lola B09
Le Mans, France – With just under an hour to go in the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans, the engine on the no. 009 Aston Martin Lola has let go, with a James Bond style smoke screen and oil slick. The car was being driven by Sam Hancock, and right by the Indianapolis turns, the engine let go, and the driver pulled off of the track, ending his 4th place hopes and retiring the best placed gasoline powered car. The 007 Aston Martin Lola is currently running in seventh position, and will most likely end the race in sixth position unless something drastic happens.
