LE MANS, FR — Thanks to another withdrawal, the Endurance China Team’s Porsche 911 GT3 RSR (LM GT2) has been invited to the most famous race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans starting with practice on June 10th. The team from China is a true mystery team at this writing with little known about who will be driving or the driver’s experience.
The Endurance China Team’s invitation to the 24 Hours of Le Mans was courtesy of the withdrawal of the Epsilon Euskadi team’s Epsilon Euskadi-Judd (LM P1). The Epsilon Euskadi-entered Epsilon Euskadi-Judd is the second withdrawal among the 55 cars invited to take part in the 2009 Le Mans 24 Hours, and will not be present at compulsory free practice on 10th June.
The Spanish team has also decided to withdraw its second LM P1 car that appeared in fifth place on the reserve list.The Epsilon Euskadi-entered Epsilon Euskadi-Judd is the second withdrawal among the 55 cars invited to take part in the 2009 Le Mans 24 Hours, and will not be present at compulsory free practice on 10th June.
In compliance with the ACO regulations, the place left vacant by the Epsilon Euskadi-Judd goes to the first car on the reserve list of entrants invited, no matter what the category, the Endurance China Team’s Porsche 911 GT3 RSR (LM GT2).
There are now 7 cars left on the reserve list. After May 22 no more reserves can be brought in to replace withdrawals.
