The race is on and the vaunted Audi team is holding down the number one position with the Peugeot, after leading early and looking quick, tripping on its cape early in the race when a hydraulic pump went out forcing the car to the pits and the garage to get it replaced.

That gave the Silver and Red Audi R10s a free rein on the track although it obvious that in the tight segments of the course the Porsche P2 cars are tough customers. At this writing the Audi is in first overall and obviously in LM P1, the Porsche is in second place overall and first in LM P2.

After its extended time in the garage the Peugeot returned to the track and will face an uphill fight to get to a podium position. It does not appear as if weather will be an issue at Sebring — though in endurance racing anything can and does happen.
